Education and Training

Daniella Jacques pursued studies in Political Science, Conflict Management, and Electoral Administration. She holds a postgraduate degree in journalism.

Scholarship

Madame Jacques is one of the few individuals to have received the U.S. Department of State scholarship twice, in 2006 and 2014. These two experiences inspired her to establish two significant institutions: “AGIRAD,” a social organization aimed at supporting young single mothers and promoting education through culture for underprivileged children, following her participation in the IVLP program in 2006, and the first Women’s Chamber of Commerce for Entrepreneurs in Haiti (CCFEH) after her participation in IVLP in 2014.

Career

Throughout her career, Daniella Jacques has held various positions within the public administration and international and/or local organizations. These roles include Communication Consultant, Project Coordinator, and trainer of polling station members during elections. She serves as the Executive Secretary of the National Palace Reconstruction Committee in Haiti, appointed by the President of the Republic, SEM Jovenel Moïse. In 2019, she became Commissioner of the Presidential Commission for Innovation and Entrepreneurship under the leadership of His Excellency President Jovenel Moïse.

The Entrepreneur

In 2022, she founded Dynamic Konnecting, a brokerage company offering a range of services to businesses worldwide. In 2021, she initiated the process to create Flamenco Gender Capital, an investment fund dedicated to financing women entrepreneurs in the Caribbean and Latin America. In 2018, Mrs. Jacques established Gyzell Industries, a Haitian company specializing in agribusiness, particularly in the marketing of coffee, grains, and vegetable oils.

Achievements

Mrs. Jacques has also initiated several significant women’s empowerment initiatives, including the Women’s Economic Forum in Haiti (2017, 2018, 2019), the first and only Women’s Chamber of Commerce (CCFEH), the largest women’s technology conference in the Americas (SIFNUH) (2017, 2018, 2019), and the innovative digital media platform, Dofen News, dedicated to women. Daniella Jacques has trained hundreds of women across the country in women’s leadership, conflict resolution, citizenship in a democratic society, and women’s political participation, among other areas.

Honors and Awards

For her remarkable work, Mrs. Jacques has received numerous honors and awards, including the “Tropics Business Awards Top 200 Changemakers” in 2018 and the title of “Change Maker of September” from the Your Mark on The World Show in 2018. She also received the “Fanm Poto Mitan Award” from J.C. Magazine in March 2018. She was recognized by CONATEL (National Telecommunications Council) and MCFDF (Ministry of Women’s Rights and Conditions) for her support of women’s involvement in technology and her commitment to women’s empowerment in 2018. In the same year, she received the “Active Young Citizen Award” from the National Haitian Youth Forum (TNJH) in August 2018. Mrs. Jacques has received two other distinctions, one in August 2019 from the Youth Secretariat and another from the International Women’s Meeting in March 2023. She won the first Human Rights Competition organized by the U.S. Embassy in Haiti in December 2004.

Participation and Speaking

Engagements at International Events
Daniella Jacques has made significant contributions as a speaker and participant at international events. These include the Innovation and Technology Symposium for Women’s Empowerment in the Caribbean, organized by Caribbean Boss Lady in March 2023 in Guadeloupe; Speaker at the International Women’s Meeting in March 2023 in Paris, organized by the Elan Féminin group; Speaker at the World Strategic Forum of the Americas in April 2019, organized by FinDev Canada; Speaker at the Francophone Women’s Conference in Bucharest in 2017, organized by OIF. She was a TEDx speaker in Point-à-Pitre in 2016 and a participant at the GLOBAL UNITE Youth Forum in 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand. Additionally, Mrs. Jacques participated twice in the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGIU) in 2009 and 2010 in the United States.
